How do schools figure out their tuition rates each year?

Question:I'm just kind of wondering what exactly they calculate to determine the cost.

Answers:
A lot of states have a "Board of Regents" that determines what the tuition and mandatory fees are for public institutions in their state, so it's not necessarily a school that sets the tuition and fees each year.
