Most states have a rule that if you live in them for a certain amount of time you have to declare residency. Generally that invoves registering you car, getting a new license, registering to vote, etc. So legally you are probably aupposed to be a CO resident but if you haven't done those things then you aren't. Check the state gov's website. I currently (but not permanently) live in DE an DE have a little brochure on how to declare residency. CO may have something like that.
It sounds like you are technically a CO resident since you will be there until 7/08. You might want to look up the FL requirements for residency to see if you can fudge the facts a little and qualify for FL. you already have the license, I would look up the schools and see what the requirements are for residency. maybe you could set up a bank account or something. my daughter moved from HI back to CA for school and had to submit tons of documentation to prove she was a CA resident. bank statements, credit cards, DL, pay stubs...
