let them know that the school you attended lost it's accreditation while you attended to see if they still want the transcript. did you complete classes before they lost accreditation? if you did, they will likely use those credits as transfer at their school so it would be in your best interest to get the balance paid. you will not be able to get a copy of your transcripts until you pay the balance, regardless of accreditation of the school. most schools will work with you without getting your transcript in at acceptance. financial holds on transcripts are a VERY common occurrance. let the new school know of the hold and ask what you can do in the meantime. you would have to remember the classes you took at the other school in order to not repeat them. good luck. you're not the only one going through this!
Talk to an adviser at the school you want to attend. You probably will need the transcript, but they may be willing to allow yo to enroll for a semester to allow you time to get the transcript from the other school Also, as the previous school has lost its accreditation, you may need to repeat ALL of the classes that you took at that school (sorry)
Yes, inform them, plus bring your copy of your grades as
well as the documents confirming the other information.
Be prepared to show that you are able to pay the tuition for
the semester you are registering for AND find out if they will
accept transfer credit from an unaccredited school.
