Question:Exactly what all would a student loan cover? My college tuition for a semester isn't but $750 and plus books no more than $1000 ( because it's a community college). But would financial aid cover my gas to travel to and from school (over 50 miles a day), food, and would it even help with car payments and what not? O and I'm paying for my tuition and all with cash. Would that affect my ability to get financial aid? Thanks for any help!
Answers:
Student loans are suppose to cover all educational related expenses. It could be for tuition, books, travel, computer or whatever. If you have any financial aid left over after your tuition and fees are paid you will get a check sent to you for the remaining balance. You could then return it to the loan company if you want or spend it on whatever you want. If you pay your tuition with cash and then you qualify for financial aid your just going to get the cash sent back to you. Talk to a financial aid rep. If you qualify for financial aid they will show you the types of aid that you can apply for.
the money that scholarships and such things give u.is given to u in a check...and you keep the money in your account..your SOPPOSED to use it for school...but they dont know what you will use it for..im sure u can use it for gas tho! so good luck
