You're books and classes total 1300? I beleive that a person if they JUST get the FAFSA Pell Grant. you would get about 2000 total for the semester.
So that would leave you about 700, in two disbursements, now an then around Oct etc. That should cover your textbooks and such. Good luck.
Also, you should have received a awards letter telling you the amount of money you're gonna get!

I should add that 2000 figure is for full times students if you're part time, cut that amount in half.
You are usually notified of financial aid before it comes time to pay for classes. I was notified of mine before the summer and then when I got my bill for college it stated what financial aid I'd received.
