Transcripts?

Question:Why do college's need your transcripts? Why wont finacial aid pay your tuition if you don't turn in your transcripts

Answers:
Transcripts are proof of the coursework you have finished, and high school (or college) diploma earned. They become an essential part of your college records, and are a requirement for receiving financial aid. Admission to college is contingent upon either: 1) H.S. diploma, or 2) G.E.D.

Also, if at any time in the future you owe the university money, they can hold back your transcripts until you pay your fees. So it is can also be used as leverage to get students to comply with college regulations.
