so i don't think i'm going to be helped much by financial aid, as my family is middle class-ish... so, i need to find some scholarships, to help me pay for college... i'm going to be a senior in high school... i live in ny... i'm pretty good in essay writing, so essay wrting required is okay for me...

You can never apply for too many scholarships either. You Will not get them all, but when you do, it makes a huge difference.
