Is there anyway I can go back to school with a unpaid car loan?

Question:bought a car about a year ago. So I have about 4 years left to pay off my loan but I want to go back to school in the next year. The problem I have is that my car payment is 350$ a month and my insurance is 220$ a months. Thats almost 600$ a month in car payments. Right now I have a job that covers those payments rent, etc., but its impossible for me to attend school and work at this job. They change my schedule almost every week. If I find another job it won't pay as well and problably only cover car payments and rent.

The reason I have to go back to school now is that I still live at home and im not sure if i can stay home for long.

Should I just stop paying off my car? Try to find another job that would just barly cover my car bill and take a loan for school? What can I do? I really want to finish college

Answers:
Is there any way you can get a grant from the school to cover your college? My son went to school for 3 yrs. on a grant & it didn't cost him a cent, even gave him $500 for books & all the supplies he needed. Anything extra left over was his to keep from the $500. Can you work out anything like that out? Can you get a car that would cost you less a month in payments? IF you don't have a brand new car, your ins. would go down too. Is there something you could work out that way maybe? Just trying to help you.
