Long story short, they forwarded my account to a collection agency, which I am now paying.
I want to go back to school at the same college, but they said that I would not be able to register until my balance is paid in full.
I would not be able to do that without taking out a loan, which no one will give me, because my credit is so bad. I thought about using a student loan, but you have to be enrolled in school to do that, which I can't, because of the past due balance.
Any suggestions? Please?

unfortunately, this is the case at most if not all schools. if you have a previous balance with them in order to receive your records from them (transcripts) or attend more classes you would have to pay that balance. once your bill is in collection, the school will not talk about other options either. you will either have to complete their payments and then start classes or attend another school. you would not be able to get your transcripts from the other school so you would need to remember what classes you took so you do not repeat them. then, once your financial responsibility to them is paid off you can have your transcripts sent or go back to the other school with transfer credit from the 2nd one. that way you wouldnt have to take time off while you are paying off your balance.
