UT Austin. Currently living in Chicago for senior year. Moving to Texas in October. In-State Tuition?

Question:Will I qualify if I move to Texas beg. October?

Answers:
no, you have to be a resident of the state you will be attending for at least 1 year. You could always come live in Austin for a year (very cool place, I live here) and save a lot of money. So since you are moving in October, you can attend in spring 2009.

Yeah, you have to be a resident for at least 12 consecutive months before you can enroll. Also, if your parents claim you on their income tax as a dependent, you can't claim residency in Texas (unless they live in Texas).
