Question:okay so on friday i endorsed a check for the school! i got a loan for $5,250 for the first year! i got a grant for $4,310! The loan is in two pay periods!(first 3,500)& (second 1,750) i endorsed my check Friday and the first payment amount i was getting was 3,500! i signed a check for 1,700 and im getting a 900 dollar living expense! does that mean i am getting the other 1,800 or am i only getting the 900 dollar living expense? or am i getting both? i just turned 18 and do not understand this stuff!

Whatever you get from your student loan, after the school takes the money for the tuition you get the rest. A Little trick we always did. Enroll in 18 hours or more. They give you more money. Then for extra living expense, drop the class during the full refund period. Lets say to 15 hours. The refund comes directly to you. It really does not matter because you have to pay all of that loan back!
