University and Colleges Admissions Service is the organisation through which you apply to university. You fill out an online UCAS form which is then sent to a maximum 5 of universities you wish to apply to (four for dentistry, veterinary and medicine). Applications for these 3 courses, and any applications to Oxbridge (you can only apply to one from oxford and Cambridge) must be submitted by October 15.

Ucas also runs a clearing service, which allows you to apply to university after your a level results.
