Who earns more? Psychotherapist or Social worker?

Question:since they're kinda of similar jobs..
but most psychotherapy courses are only offered at postgraduate level. I'm assuming Psychotherapists earn more than social workers, though i'm unsure. What do you think?? :]

Answers:
Some Clincial Social Workers can end up making more if they get famous, write books, etc.

By and large the PH D Psychotherapists makes more.

The Psychiatrist makes even more than they do.

There are some exceptions. A MCSW with a lot of experience can end up running a place such as Friends of the Family and they might employ Psychotherapists, but the MCSW might make more pay because they run the place.

The MCSW fresh from college, has to work under supervision for a period of time before they can apply for a private license. The starting pay is $50K to $75K

A Psychologist or Pschotherapist with a PHD can apply for a license immeidately and make $85K to $125K

A Psychatrist who is board certfied can start at $150K
Psychotherapist make more especially if you have a private practice.
Psychotherapists make a *lot* more money. It's not unusual to pay $50, $75, or $100 for a 50-minute session.

Social workers burn out in part because of very heavy caseloads for little pay in relations to the difficulty of the work. Often they earn about the same or somewhat less than the notoriously-underpaid teachers.
The majority of social workers make very little money. Many make less than teachers.

Psychotherapists are either MDs (with a specialty in Psychiatry) or PhDs in Psychology. They make lots of money.
