What are some key things that will help me get into notre dame?

Question:it anyone ever went to notre dame or anything or knows anything specific, beyond test scores and GPA and stuff, let me know please!

Answers:
My wife and I both graduated from ND in2006, and I congratulate you for looking into Notre Dame. Notre Dame's admissions process is similar to other top schools, but each school places different weights on various parts of your application.

Variety is the spice of life, and it will also get you into ND. After you do well in classes and on your SAT, you should do your best to get a leadership role in community service, academics, athletics, and arts.

For this reason, it would be better to be a football star and band drum major, than football star and basketball star.
More important than trying to pad your application, make sure you are genuine in your application. Visit Notre Dame, and decide what makes it special to you. In your personal statement, make sure you exude those qualities(if ND's Catholicism is important to you, make sure your statement says why Catholicism is important to you, and subtly bring Notre Dame into the statement).

Remember:
-Variety of quality extra-curriculars(4 good ones is better than 20 okay ones)
-Great grades or scores(they don't both need to be perfect, my wife only had a good SAT and perfect GPA, and I only had good grades and near perfect SAT)
-Visit Notre Dame-not just a football game, but that is a nice addition to visit
-Be geniune

Good luck!
Have parents with a lot of money and willing to donate to the university. I don't care what they said or claim. Money talks when it comes to colleges.
Yes, I know someone who had a 4.0 GPA and excellent scores on his SAT's. He was not accepted, however, because although he belonged to a couple clubs in high school, he did not hold any leadership roles in any of those clubs. They look for things like community involvement, leadership, and commitment. You should also make sure you have a couple teachers who will write glowing reference letters for you. Good luck!
