I have 13 credits remaining in my college degree but only 5 credits are offered next semester?

Question:I am going to be in my fourth year of college. I have only 13 credits remaining. Should I drop out til next semester or spend money on general education classes I don't need and go to school the whole year? The classes I need are biochem 2 and organic chemistry 2, and they are only offered in spring.

Answers:
I would suggest asking your professors if they need any undergraduate researchers. Right now, I'm an undergrad researcher for a Ph.D student who needs help running his experiements.

Getting an intership is a lot harder to acheive, because you need to come up with your OWN research topic, and submit it into a committe, and you need to choose a mentor. Also, they usually have strict deadline for getting accepted to internships.

As for being a undergrad researcher... Depending on the situation, you can either get paid, or you can recieve college credits.

It looks good on graduate applications AND resumes to show that you have labratory experience.

Or, have you thought about just taking half a load a semester?

Just a few thoughts. Hope they help.
I am going into my second year of college, but I have 20 credits from HS, so I am in a similar situation. Get an internship for the fall/winter and then finish in the spring.
