Question:My gpa is a 4.4 weighted and a 3.9 unweighted, I am a junior. I am very involoved at my school, I am going to be the editor in chief of the foreign language magazine and one of the top editors of the literary magazine. I am going to be secretary for class council and i am on student council. I am in many other clubs. I am in the marching band where i am a student leader. I volunteer at Lutheran General and I am on the enviormental impact task force for the park district of my city. I was on the tennis team and i plan to do track and i play golf. Although I do not really have a large sport record at my school. Whatdo you think will be my chances of getting into a school like yale or Harvard? thank you

You most definetly have a fair chance. Just take your SAT/ACT and some SAT Subject Tests depending on which Ivy League School... (I know that Brown will accept the ACT in place of the SAT and SAT Subject tests that are otherwise required, and Harvard requires 3 SAT Subject Tests).
There's more to the Ivy League that Harvard and Yale! If you want in, check out information on the cities and the different mindsets on campus. Brown won me over with their open curriculum.

I think that you definitely have a chance. You should definitely apply. I would need to see your SAT scores in order to give you a better answer, but your grades and extracurriculars sound like a typical Ivy applicant. Also try applying to several "match" schools that are also highly respected like Duke, Northwestern, and colleges along those lines. Good luck.
