Seany,
If I'd known how very little my so called 'permanent record' would affect my college years, I'd have had a lot more fun in high school.
Think about it this way: Any college that is so uptight that they'd rule you out for one suspension isn't going to have anyone there to pay tuition. They'd go broke.
Be good 99% of the time, don't get in trouble with the law, don't get anyone pregnant, get decent grades, and don't sweat it.
Do this stuff and you'll be fine.

Colleges don't ask to see your dicipline record unless it is bad. Just stay out of trouble!
Unless your trying to get into Yale or Harvard, I wouldn't stress about it. It sounds like you are responsible if you are concerned about your college future. Keep up the good work and good luck.
A minor discretion your freshman year shouldn't have much of an impact on where you get into college. Just make sure it doesn't happen again. And if you ARE asked about it by an admissions counselor, own up to it. Simply say that you acted up in class one day when you were less mature, you learned your lesson, and it didn't happen again.
That shouldn't affect your chances of getting into a good college. As long as you don't continue getting suspended throughout the next 3 years and do well academically you'll be fine.
Your fine. Unless you have are suspended for something major (like bringing a knife into school or something) Colleges dont even request those records. 3 Periods wont even make it on a page to a college.
as long as it wasnt a serious infaction, the colleges do not care.
