i think you have a bright future ahead. even though ur gpa is "below" what u want, it's pretty high compared to other, and with the courses you chose, colleges will def. be interested in you.
when a college looks at a prospective student, they look at the GPA, SAT/ACT scores, extra curricular activities, sports, awards, leadership, community service and participation, and even you background! sooo many factors go into the process and even if that's all bad, they say an amazing essay could push you right in, but it's better to have everything, and not worry! by choosing the most rigorous courses your school has to offer, (AP classes, honors, IB...etc.) AND getting good grades in them, in my opinion, it almost gaurantees your college acceptance! also, i hope you understand that by applying with early decision, you make a commitment to that school so if you get accepted somewhere else, you have to turn them down and go to that school!! another option is early action where you can apply early, but there is no commitment to the school. this option isnt available at all schools, but i just wanted to warn you before you spend tons of money on applications and such...
