Can someone please help?!!!?

Question:Hello i'm 16 and going into my junior year and i'm in big trouble. I messed up really bad my first 2 years. I mean really bad. I flunked almost every class last year and 3 classes my fist year. But now I wish I haven't. I'm so worried about my future. What options do I have left. By that I mean If i buckle down and get straight A's would I be able to get into a good University. And what if I don't can I still get a good job. Like atleast over 50k a year. And what kind of jobs can you get if you get a GED or are homeschooled. (My mom suggested I get my GED or Homeschooled or continue in Highschool. Which option is better if i'm willing to try my hardest. Please help, I'm worried i'll be a failure.

Answers:
explore where you got that $50K idea. Most people with a high school diploma don't make anywhere near $50K...

The average income in the United States is about $37,000 per year. That's all people regardless of education. It's lower for high school grads and higher for college grads.

Statistically, if you graduate from high school but don't go to college then you can expect an average salary of about $35,725 -- but this means you'll start much lower (around $20,000), work your way up to that level, and then go over it by some.

$50,000 is almost $25 per hour full time. That type of job requires some level of training beyond HS in most cases.

Your best option for a successful future is to continue your secondary (HS) education and then explore options for higher education. While some few people make a good living without a higher education - most people with a college degree earn significantly more than their peers who do not have a college degree.
Ok calm down.take a breath.lol. Generally your first two years in HS dont have much weight on your eligibility for college. You may not get into Harvard, not because of your grades but because there are too many other students that got straight A's since preschool. lol. Dont sweat it. I'd recommend staying in HS and doing your best in your senior year apply to colleges. There are plenty of great schools that arent Ivy league. To find the career you want look in the occupational outlook handbook and remember to try your best. I screwed my first 3 years of HS up pretty badly. I did great my senior year but decided to just join the workforce until I decided what to do (i'm not recommending that btw) but now (at 22 y/o) I've figured out that I would like to be a dental hygienist and I actually start school next week at a community college that is rated one of the top in the country for Dental hygiene. BTW- Dental hygienist in metropolitan areas make GREAT money ; ) in NYC and chicago pay is generally around 37-50 and hour! Good luck. Hope this helps
