Is it right or okay to ask a professor you've contacted from the school you're applying to write ref letter?

Question:I have no other people i know for reference letters, please help..
the former asked me to write a proposal before i entered.. is it possible to get a reference letter from him?

Answers:
No, it is not proper or acceptable to ask this professor for a letter of reference.

Letters of reference for entering a college or university must come from former teachers.

If you are a returning student who has not been in school for over a decade, then letters from employers are sometimes acceptable. However, letters from people who have witnessed and can testify to your academic abilities are the most appropriate.
The reference letter should be from someone who knows you. How can they refer you if they don't know you. Ask one of your current teachers or you guidance counselor.
If it's okey with him, you may include his name among your references. But whether it is okey to ask him to write an endorsement letter in your favor would depend on his position in the school where you're applying. If he belongs to management, that may not be proper because that might be viewed as conflict of interest.
