2) Pick a major randomly from a list and apply to the schools that offer it.

Get a technical 2 year degree from your Community College and be done with it. HVAC, nursing (or medical), pharmacy tech, welding, computer programming or networking (even though you've said that you've tried it) are among decent careers that you can get a 2 year degree in.
