Answers:
it is not mandatory to have admissions in private colleges. One should get the admissions in those colleges where you can get more knowledge on the subjects rather than the college where one can't. One should not think that the college is Private or Govt.
Apparently.
NOt always but they do look better for some reason. I am going to private, but more so because they have smaller class and a lot more tutoring help
(answer assuming you live in the United States)
No, it is not "necessary." It might be desired, but by no means necessary.
If you choose a public or private university is completely up to you, your ambitions, the school you want to go to, and what works better for you. Don't think about money *now*, as for many people the private university will offer enough scholarship aid to even out the cost - for example, it is costing me the same amount to go to a private university and live on campus as it would for me to go instate and live on campus.
Think about what kind of education you want and what you want to do with it. Different schools, regardless of their private status offer different advantages and differences. For example, as a Virginia resident if I wanted to become an engineer, I would try to go to Virginia Tech, not a small private school that doesn't offer the qualifications to get into a good graduate school for that. However, if I wanted to get a solid liberal arts degree and have more of an involved expierence of my education, I would probably look more closely at private liberal arts colleges.
The potential advantage I see is that they are not restricted to government dogma. They can succeed where state colleges have to play by rules that make them fail - although they normally fail to do that.
The problem is that private colleges haven't taken advantage of what they are capable of doing - and I feel that one reason is that they are choosing to play by the same rules as the state colleges, but with an elitist slant. That's not WHY to have a private college. Free market competition to make better education is WHY.
So, to sum, yes, they are necessary, but shamefully, the ones we have are making themselves unnecessary.
No, private college is not necessary. It is best to choose a school based on what it has to offer you, and not by the name. However, for me, private school was the best choice. It had the programs I wanted (psychology and women's and gender studies). My class sizes are super small, at the most I've had 40 people in a class...I've had classes as small as 12 people; the professors are absolutely able to spend more time with you/give you more individual attention. Also, it is much easier to get involved in campus activities at a small, private university--for example, I'm in a sorority, on a student board, and a number of clubs, and it is also easier to make friends since you see the same people a lot. Small, private schools typically have a strong alumni base, offering you many networking opportunities. Don't worry so much about the money--there is no away I could afford to go to the school I'm at now if it wasn't for scholarships/financial aid. It is actually costing me the same amount to go to private school as it would cost me to go to the state university closest to my house. Ultimately you have to pick the school that is the best for you, whether it be public or private, as you will be spending the next four years of your life there.
Yes, sometimes their result are better then Govt collage.
