Is the cal state university a good school or a bad school?

Question:

Answers:
The Cal State system compares well to many universities in other states. There are numerous campuses, and they are different in what they offer. Cal State Fullerton is a very good school. Cal State Long Beach as well. Someone suggested you should research the schools and find one that's right for what you want. That is the only way to do it. "Good school" is to some extent subjective. This is one of those things you have to do for yourself.
cal states aren't bad, they're just not as competitive as admissions are for UCs.
It's an accredited university that hires PhDs, so it's gonna be pretty good at most things that a university does. But your experience may vary. Like any school, it'll depend on which program you're in, what your needs are, and which teachers and advisors you end up with.

And most of all, college success depends on what the student does. I've known Harvard students who haven't had a good experience or made much of their lives, and I know community college students who were really successful and happy.

In other words, there is no overall "good school / bad school" designation for CSU (or any university).

Do some research on the top schools in your specific major or program. Talk to current students and recent grads. Visit the campus, if you can afford the trip, and talk to faculty.
its not THAT bad, not THAT good, but theyre OKAY.
