How much attention do Universities pay to wether or not you've taken AP classes.?

Question:I'm signed up for two at the moment but as I'm doing the summer assignments required I'm beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed.

Answers:
It looks good. Colleges want to see you challenge yourself.
Well, if you take and AP class, it saves you the time and money because you won't have to pay for it when you get to college/University.
Actually we tend not to be very impressed by AP (or IB for that matter). We think you should get a university level education in university.
If you take the AP class and get a good score on the test, and depending on what you plan to major in college, you can get college credit for that class. I think colleges do pay attention - I didn't have an ideal GPA, but I took honors and AP classes, and I got into the college I wanted.
