Answers:
the lady above me is right; Nursing assistants work mostly in convalescent homes or assisting patients in someone's else home.
I used to be a Medical Assistant back in my young days, Medical Assistants work in a clinic and there is a lot to learn in becoming one.
I have also taken blood samples, sutured someone's hand and helped doctors in the ultrasound room, gather specimens, and updated patient's charts. But the worst thing I've ever done is treat children and watching children rather ill, it brakes my heart seeing a child in pain.

Yes, nursing assistants mostly work in old folks homes helping patients with daily care, medical assistants mostly work in doctors offices , assisting the doctors, they give injections, assess patients,do blood pressures, take blood do paperwork etc. They are usually better paid and don't have to work as hard as nursing aid, who in my humble opinion are often underpaid for the hard, back breaking crappy diaper changing jobs they have.
