What college has the best MFA program (USA or international)?

Question:I want to go to grad school to get my MFA. I will go pretty much anywhere, USA or international. I'm looking for a reputable program in an exciting location. Any ideas?

Answers:
The Iowa Writers' Workshop is generally considered the best writing program in the country (and probably the world). Other schools with good reputations include Johns Hopkins, Columbia, New York University, the University of Houston, UVA, Cornell, Boston University, and the University of California at Irvine.

Writing programs are extremely competitive, though, as you can imagine, and it's hard to judge what the admissions committee will like, so it pays to do research and find a place with a faculty whose writing style suits yours (and which might offer you more funding). http://www.awpwriter.org/ might be a good place to start looking.
