Most college campuses have a good music scene.
You probably need to make a mental list of things that are important to you:
- close to home or not?
- big or small school?
- possible majors?
- cost? (in-state vs. out-state vs. private?)
If you have no idea where to begin, maybe do a campus visit at a big and small school, and see which one appeals to you more.
A lot of that depends on where you want to go and how far from home you're willing to attend. With your ACT score, GPA, and other activities, you shouldn't have a problem getting in just about anywhere. A good place to do some research is the Princeton Review. Good luck.
I think you need to answer a couple other questions before looking for the music scene at a university.
1) How much can you/your family afford, becuase anything thats outside the price range should be thrown out the window right now.
2) Do you want to go to a big school or a small school. They are incredibly different: 13th grade, knowing everyone, limited social opportunities vs. being a number, meeting new people every day, with social clubs out the ying yang.
3) How far away from home do you want to be? 1 hour with convience to come home any day you choose. Or 6 hours and only coming home Thanksgiving, Christmans, Easter, and Summer Break.
