Question:I want to become a Nurse Practitioner after high school. I am hoping to attend Coker College (Hartsville, South Carolina), but I'm a little confused. I know that you have to be very good at science and you have to have a Bachelor of Science degree (or so I've heard, please correct me if I'm wrong), but Coker College has two amazing undergraduate programs - Biology and Chemistry. While on the Coker website today, I downloaded their Math & Sciences brochure, and this is what I found:
BIOLOGY - This program prepares students for career in health care, education, forestry, and for medical or graduate school.
CHEMISTRY - This program prepares students for careers as scientists, educators and health care professionals.
Which should I choose as my major to become an NP?
Answers:
Chemistry. Go for chemistry, you'll never regret it!
