Going to college in the fall, what school supplies do I need?

Question:

Answers:
-Highlighters in like 8 colours., Skinny ones, perferably that click. They don't make your hand cramp like the fat ones do, and the clicky one don't dry up as easily as capped ones. Sharpie makes an excellent one.

-Three times as many pens as you think you'll need in many colours. It makes studying and drawing diagrams easier

-Graph paper, even if you aren't taking math or science, you'd be surprised when it will come in handy

-Coloured paper clips. Its a lot easier to finy your paper in a stack if you know yours had a red paper clip.

-POST ITS! Never ever underestimate the awesomeness of the postit. Go to Sam's Club and buy the 16 pack of mini post its. Trust me on this one. They are good for making lists (think studying times and groceries), book marks, editing papers, adding notes to textsbooks you intend to sell, playing pranks, and sticking all over you laptop so you don't forget you have to read 60 pages tonight.

-A Ruler. There's never one around when you need one

-A sturdy clip board, 500-1000 sheets of loose leaf paper and a few binders (to put the loose leaf in). Its a lot simpler to take a slip board with some loose leaf paper to class than a Note book. You can loan out a set of notes without giving someone your whole book, clip boards are easier to write with on tiny lecture hall desk than floppy notebooks, and you can re-write a set of notes if you did them hastily in class. Even if you have a laptop, always keep some loose leaf on you.

-Glue Stick. Again, theres never one around when you need it.

- Paper Duotangs (report covers). Some profs/TAs don't like the plastic ones because they have a tendancy to slide around and make piles fall. the paper ones have some grip to them.

-A 3 Hole punch. Most class hand outs aren't hold punched, and there aren't punches in most lecture halls.

-Sharpies. Many many Sharpies (3 black (1 ultra fine point), 1 blue and 2 red at least.) Write you name on everything you ever want to see again, including the sharpies. They are a hot commodity.

-A nalgene water bottle, half liter size. It will pay for it self in less than 2 weeks, and its unbreakable. you can out water, juice or soda in them so they save you money. Carry one with water to class and exams so you don't get thristy half way through. You can fill one half way with water the night before and freeze it, then you'll have cold water all day. Nalgenes are like impossible to break, so trust me, they are worth it.

-a GOOD travel mug. Even if you don't drink coffee now, you will and you'll wish you had the mug. Make sure it has a spill proof lid so you can bring it in to the library.

-Carabiners. So useful in so many ways. Snap one on you back pack and hang the nalgene from it (empty or full.) or your empty travel mug. Keep one inside for your keys and meal card. So much cooler than lanyards.

-A mp3 player with at least 2 hours of classical music on it. Drowns out library/dorm noise without distracting you.
