Question:I want to apply for a Nuclear Tech program at my local college. They need for me to send 3 recommendations. I currently am a Construction Project Manager. Should I get my boss and other people in my company to write these recommendations? I don't know anyone in the medical field. Do you think they are looking for someone in the medical field?
Thanks!
Answers:
They're looking for people who can speak to your qualifications. These qualifications include your work ethic, your understanding of complex ideas, your ability to interact with others, etc. If you have an academic reference who can attest to your academic skills that's good too. But I wouldn't worry about not having medical recommendations -- the college is supposed to be training you for that field, you're not supposed to already know all about it!
Good luck. It sounds like a challenging career choice!
