How can I get hold of a opportunity contained by Biology?

I will soon have a level in Biology from the university, but I surmise my GPA is too low for grad. school or professional academy (2.8). I would love to help out beside wildlife and the environment, if possible.

Does anyone know any job I can get besides tutoring?

Answers:    I know around here there are deeply of environmental consultant companies. They do Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) which involves going out to the field and doing foliage surveys and some wildlife surveys - depending on what area or company you find hired by (some companies do mainly adjectives work so they do fish and amphibian surveys, some do general wildlife and plant life surveys... ). YOu could also talk to some of your profs to see if they enjoy any work that you could do, particularly as a summer student. I know one of my summer students (when I be a grad student) didn't have a great GPA but she be very personable and worked really complex. She learned her plants with alacrity just because we be out there doing surveys for nearly 2 weeks.. and the rest of the time we were collecting caterpillar cocoons... anyone can do that! So see if here are summer student positions at your university. A good course to get one of those is to volunteer for a prof for a month or two formerly the field season if truth be told starts. Check boards around your biology building for notices - I know at the university I work at, grad students will recurrently post job ad. Those are often the coolest (but physically demanding) job - like catching and radio collaring wolves or elk, or polar bear, or black bears. Some of my grad student friends hold done radio tracking of whales and seals... lots of stuff to do.

Another place to look is on your city's website. I know we enjoy an entomology department here in my city. Are you surrounded by the US? If you are, you could see if the USDA (dept of agriculture) has job. I worked for the Canadian version basically out of my undergrad - in both an entomology lab and a plant pathology lab. I get a lot of experience near those jobs even though they weren't surrounded by my area of study (which have been developmental and molecular biology - in a minute my focus is ecology).

I would also look into state (or provincial?) policy jobs. We, here contained by Canada, have adjectives biology jobs although repeatedly you have to move to smaller towns within order to do the legitimate wildlife work.

If you can move - look at other universities.. Look at your first biology undertaking as experience - not something where you'll be making seriously of money but you'll get your designation and your work ethic known - which will present you a good insinuation.. and then from in attendance, you can start building your career!
