Answers: My friend and I were the solely two to get into Yale, out of the 12 or so that applied from our glorious school. Though neither of us would attend. We attended a public big school surrounded by Los Angeles, CA.
My unweighted GPA was a 3.85, I have a 2210 on the SAT and also participated surrounded by 1 year of JV Basketball and 3 Years of Varsity, All-City my second and third year.
I was president of 2 internally recognized clubs, Secretary of another locally recognized, Captain of Academic Decathlon squad of which I did 2 years, Captain the second year and led my squad to state for the first time in conservatory history. I also did Model U.N. for all 4 years, and won at most minuscule an Honorable Mention my last three years of participating.
I took a total of 10 AP classes, passed 6 of the Exams.
Over respectively summer I either did some community service at a hospital or I worked. I totaled 400 hours of community service and I worked fairly a bit.
I am also Hispanic, and I think that that be just the icing on the cake considering I am a URM. However, I applied to almost 11 colleges, only get rejected my CalTech and Harvard.
I also got a couple of awards. My friend, however, have a higher GPA, participate in 2 sports for 4 years, be Editor of the Yearbook, and was also Hispanic. He would progress to Harvard.
Personally, the work load wasn't difficult. On composition I looked like some hard-worker, but really I choose when I want to work. Anyone can acquire straight A's, it's all a situation of being believable and knowing how to balance your time. I though it be all pretty effortless. I never stressed about things, and I other made sure that I was prepared fow doesn`t matter what was expecting me.
