Unless you plan on working permanently in Hawaii (and maybe not even then), Hawaii might be an ok choice.
Otherwise, I can comfortably use the word "stupid" to describe a person who turned down UCLA's Anderson for Hawaii.
Kiss enough *** along the way and you'll be fine regardless - but more recruiters will be available to you at UCLA
I would say UCLA. MBA is all about connections and networking. Finishing on the top or the middle of the pack is really meaningless since an MBA will be an MBA regardless. Employers will not go check your gpa for your MBA.
With that being said, go with UCLA.
Post secondary education is basically extortion. You can't get a decent job without a degree so the schools can charge whatever they want. I have a BS (ha ha) in business management and I feel no smarter than I was before I had it. There is no pay-off when it comes to what school the piece of paper came from. In fact some job openings specifically say that it doesn't even matter what your degree is in as long as you have one. It's just meeting their HR requirements for a job. Having additional certificates in related areas can be used to negotiate your salary. Clubs and all that other extr-curricular stuff are basically the second thing you mentioned - networking.
