Question:I'm going to University of Manchester in September (I'm so excited), and I'm staying in Ashburne Hall. I'mguessing I probably do have to, but can anyone tell me if I need to bring like my own quilts, pillowcases and bedlinen? Any other advice you have would really be appreciated as well. Thanks!
Answers:
From my good old student days - most things are provided in the kitchen ( check with the halls of residence what is provided - some don't supply microwaves, dishwashers, or washers and dryers), but deinitely bed linen was something you had to get yourself. An electric kettle in your own room is handy - saves you having to go to the kitchen. Also if you are going to have a tv in your room or even put it in a communal room you need your own separate licence.
