For me it has been exhausting, but I'm a non-traditional student. I'm married with 4 kids, so your experience coming in at the "right" age means you are going to have a better time.
My advice: Work your tail off from the very first day of class. Having an "A" when you go in to take final exams really takes the pressure off. Your peers will be stressing out, cramming all night, and you will be cruising because all you need to maintain your average is to make a 50 or something similarly ridiculous on the final.

Do not wish your life away.
College was great. Having grand kids is better.

College was a lot more work than high school. I didn't have to make a whole lot of effort in high school, not so in college. It was a challenge, a learning experience and lead to a decent job, so I can't really complain.
