What classes/courses should I take this year as a Junior in high-school?

Question:I'm homeschooled but I also go part-time at a local highschool. There I will be taking AP American History, Auto 2, Grooming and History of Rock&Roll. I'm not sure what core classes I should take at home. I will be an 11th grader [Junior] in highschool. Any ideas/suggestions?

Answers:
Have you taken Algebra 2 yet? If not take that, if you already have go on to Advanced Math concepts such as Trig. and Pre Calculus.

For Science, how about Chemistry?

Their are many different options for English, you can take American Lit. English Lit. Medieval Lit. World Lit. (The list goes on and on and on. ) For English classes try looking at Hewitt's Lighting Lit. courses. They are great and will really bring you up to college level with your writing skills. http://hewitthomeschooling.com

Physics is another option for Science, it is traditionally taken after you've finished Algebra 2 and started on advanced math topics.

Aside from that, look at your state's graduation requirements and take things that you still need.
Science, Math, English, and probably a lanugage (i.e. Spanish or French). Why not just go to the high school full-time?
how about math and english?
Not knowing the normal sequence in your state, the required courses, or what you have taken, I would hesitantly suggest the following:

Science -- Chemistry or Physics
Math -- Algebra II or Geometry
English -- American Literature
At my school, a Junior would take Geometry or Algebra 2. Chemistry or Physics, and English 3, which I believe is American Literature.

It all depends on what order things go in your state, plus I go to a private school which is different from all the public schools in our state.
Geometry. MArine biology is find. Next year take Math Chemistyr or Physics and Trig

English Grammar and Composition

English Literature

Have you learned a college writing style like APA

Also Statistics and Economics.

Sounds like your doing real good.
My kids were home schooled partly because of the environment. I didn't think they were doing a great job teaching, either!

Homeschooling is a great alternative to public schools for many reasons, but it is also good that you are attending some school.

It's good that your because you can learn bad study habits with Home Schooling-not wanting to work as hard and expecting a shortcut in anything!

You should be thinking of taking any coarses that might make you look good on an SAT. You probably have enough math credits, but check with your homeschooling teacher or high school counselor!

You might also try a little literature and writing... Writing is important in college education.

Also, you should consider taking an advanced course in what ever you enjoyed before. It might lead to you deciding on that as a career!

Good Luck!
Chinese would be more useful than french, but is also much more complicated.
You need to take more math , it's very important for college and careers. geometry, algebra, precalc,
and take a normal science my schools curriculum required biology, chemistry, and you could elect physics.

i'm sure it would be allowable to go in and discuss your options and best choices with a school counselor/advisor. if your homeschool is monitored through the highschool.
Chemistry
You dont need any classes for high school!!yoy just have to be prfect with your lessons!and be thorough with your syllabus
