TAFFIE is a state-wide group for announcements and support for Texas homeschoolers. They have a lot in Houston, but I'm sure they'll have some info on the DFW-area, too.

BTW - it's better to just ignore people like Trinity who don't know anything about homeschooling and don't understand the proverb, "Better to keep silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and prove it"
get yourself to public school... unless your parents are certified teachers in all the subjects. Leave teaching to the pros...
