Personel planner question.?

Question:each individual day in the planner has two columns with five rows in each column. the first column's rows are numbered 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. The second column is numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. they kind of look like this:

Monday, August 27
8______ 1______
9______ 2______
10_____ 3______
11_____ 4______
12_____ 5______

saturday and sunday have have lines on each row like the other days, but they aren't numbered. what's the purpose behind the numbers? this is a silly question, but i am really curious as to why they're there.

Answers:
A typical work day is 8 to 5... Now do you see what those lines mean?
I am guessing that they are their to help you keep the thing you have to do in order. I don't know why saturday and sunday don't have numbers, but ever planner is different, so if it bothers you, they have plenty of others to choose from.
The numbers are for the hours of the day starting at 8 am and ending at 5 PM, a normal work day for most people. You put your appointments on the lines next to the appropriate hour.

Your planner is assuming you don't work on the weekend, so it gives no hours, just lines to enter things you plan..you can add the time.
