In what ways would doing a project on food from different cultures benefit a class?

Question:i need help on how the project should be set up..for example...if people should be put in groups and if so.how(by race, culture,...etc)?..what kind of foods should the students bring...how it should be presented...and things like that!...all suggestions are well appreciated.thankyou!

broden there minds, and it would show the class that there is other different types of food in the world, and also other countries have different culters of food. it gives them a new experience in different types of aduculture in different countries, and in away it is part of history

Hmm. I remember my daughter doing projects like this when she was in elementary school. I volunteered to cook and go into class. What fun we had..

I would do culture or by food category.

Examples: Italian,Greek,Spanish,Mexican and so on...

Have the class or groups pick out easy foods representing those cultures or food groups and bring them in on a certain day and its like a buffet of international and american foods.

When I did this for my daughter I made the food and then spoke to the class about where this dish is from.. One example is I made a dish that I learned from someone who lives in PUERTO RICO and I spoke about that.
