Brad runs 4 miles in 30 minutes. At the same rate, how many miles can he run in 24 minutes?

Question:Is there a formula for this? I came up with 6.0 . I know thats not right.

Answers:
Set up a proportion miles/minutes=miles/minutes

4/30=x/24 Cross multiply and get 30x=96

Now divide by 30 and get x=3.2 miles or 3 1/5 miles.
I have not been in math in a while but i believe this is right..

4/30 = x/24

cross multiply so you get

96 = 30x

then divide 96 by 30 and you get

x = 3.2 miles
