What do these words mean?

Question:I need the definitions of these words for extra credit for my history class (I have a b- or c+). They're stank (not the past tense of sitnk, but the medeival term), putany, and allevil. They're from the Magna Carta, and I can't find their definitions anywhere. If you find it, give me the definition and site you found it on please. Thank you!

Answers:
Stank – A pond or pool. Also a ditch or dyke of slowly-moving water, a moat

I can't find Putany (did find putney), and allevil is also elusive. Sorry I can't be of more help.
