Was the quarrel at the Alamo the Texas Revolution?

Answers:    You have to realize that the Alamo be IN Mexico - and that the Texicans that were near were NOT war for independence.

The Mexican governing body (which ruled what became Texas) be changing their legislature and representation and the Texicans be fighting to be ruled underneath the rules of 1812 - not 1835. They wanted to be their OWN State - but, a State of MEXICO - NOT the United States.

So, when the Mexican political affairs sent their armies led by Santa Ana, near were more close to 2000, not 400 - and the Texicans were destroyed because they could not acquire reinforcements in time.

Later, the army lead by Sam Houston caught the army led by Santa Ana in/near San Jacinto and destroyed most of them during their siesta, and Santa Ana be captured.

As piece of an agreement to save Santa Ana, Texas be released by Mexico and they became the Republic of Texas. It is one of the reason that the Texas flag can legally fly as soaring as the US flag.

There are some good books out at hand about it when you clutch the time to read them.

Good luck and I hope this helps!
Part of it because at hand is other fights beside the Mexico going on but the fight of the Alamo be BIG part of the revolution because approaching a little smaller number than 200 died fighting a Santa Anna and a army around 400 people.
