What is an essay?

Question:

Answers:
The standard essay usually consists of five paragraphs. I don't know what grade you're in, but it could be more or less depending on the teacher's requirements. The first paragraph consists of your thesis statement ( the main argument you're trying to prove in the essay) and a couple of intro sentences about what you'll talk about in the body of your essay. The next three paragraphs should present the main evidence for your argument and are called body paragraphs. The last paragraph is the conclusion ( add some fluff to wrap everything up). Try to keep everything focused and clear. Good luck.
