How would you write the following text as an algebraic expression?

Question:5 times the difference of q squared and r plus 8 times the sum of 3q and 2r

I know the question may sound stupid, but I'm a bit confused.

All answers are appreciated though!

Answers:
5(q2-r) + 8(3q+2r)

the 2 after the q is a power so make sure it is superscript
5(q^2-r) + 8(3q+2r)
:รพ others beat me to it.
5((q^2)-r)+8(3q+2r)
or
5q^2+24q+9r
or
q(5q+24)+9r
