Books that i read in sixth grade were "A Wrinkle in Time" which is like science-fiction and its hard to follow on your own but if your school does group readings in class its much easier to understand because you discuss it as a group. Another book we read was " The Birmingham's go to Alabama" ( think that's what its titled) its by the same author at Bud not Buddy now that book is easier to understand and personally i loved it! We also read this book about this kid who won a trip with astronauts to space and meets this African tribe kid over the radio on the ship...but i cannot remember the title I'll try to find it but no guarantees. hoped that help:)
