How do you state the domain and range using interval notation when given a graph or equation of a line?

Question:Such as y=(-3/4)x+4. I've graphed it but i have no clue how to state the domain and range using interval notation, in fact, i don't really get what those things are lol. help please.

Answers:
The domain represents the possible x values of the graph. You usually have restrictions when the variable appears underneath a root symbol or in the denominator of a fraction. Since you have neither of these, the domain is all real numbers.
In interval notation, (-infinity, infinity)
Note: You would actually write the symbol for infinity.

The range represents the possible y values.
When you have a non-vertical or non-horizontal line, then both the domain and range are all real numbers.
