Can someone help me with math?

Question:solve each solution by addition.

x+5y=10

-2x-10y=-20

Answers:
Multiply the first equation by 2:

..2x + 10y = 20
- 2x - 10y = -20
---------------------
....0


Since both equations are the same and can reduce to 0 = 0, the systems are dependent.

In other words, if you multiply the first equation by -2, you get the second equation. This means there is not a unique solution, and the system is dependent.
