Question:a stone thrown verically upward with a speed of 12 m/s from the edge of a cliff of 70 m high.
a) how much later does it reach the bottom of the cliff?
--> i found the answer. its 5.19 s.
b)what is the speed before hunting?
---> i found that too. 38.9 m/s
c) I dont get. What total distance did it travel?
HELP!
show steps please.
thankyou.

Answers:
S1 = the distance to the sky.then total distance travelled (S) = S1+S1+70

S1=Vo*t - 1/2 g* (t^2)

Vo=initial speed = 12m/sec
t= time travelled
g=10 m/sec^2

All known numbers now :-)
speed x time = distance
