If you have to do a research paper with a "formal bibliography" do you need to do cited notation?

Question:It's for summer reading, so I cannot ask a teacher. I am a freshman in High School. Thanks.!!

yeah, you always have to cite in papers. The format of the citation varies given the system you use, but all of them (MLA is what i use) use citations throughout.
I would use Harvard referencing system. Lots of help on the net for this. Check out www.tagg.org dissertation tips - has a good section on referencing
always! or else no one know, which info came from where. it's the whole point of a bibliography.
If you're not absolutely sure you don't need to do one, then do it. Then when you get back to school if you don't need it just toss your works cited page. Better to do some extra work than lose points for not being prepared.
