Math problem 10 easy points!!!?

Question:whoever answers this and gives me a good answer first will be chosen as the best answer and get 10 points :]

alright here is the question i dont understand it i have to do it for some gay class.

"order of operations"

explain in words how to evaluate the following numerical expression:
6(7-5)^2 + 2 (8-4)^2
(^2 <<<Squared)

atleast a paragraph stae the answer.

so people make it atleast a paragraph.

thx i really appreciate it

Plenty of good answers already. You don't need mine.
6(7-5)^2 + 2 (8-4)^2

First, do the things in parenthesis. 7-5=2, and 8-4=4.
6(2)^2 + 2 (4)^2

Now, do the exponents (the ^2's). 2^2=4 and 4^2=16.
6(4) + 2 (16)

Now, do the multiplication. 6(4)=24 and 2(16)=32.
24+32

Finally, the addition. 24+32=56.
Well. You do parenthesis first, then exponents, then multiplication/division, then addition/subtraction.

So...
6*(2)^2 + 2*(4)^2
6*4 + 2*16
24 + 32
56
to remember the order of operations remember
excuse Exponents
my Multiplication
dear division
sally Subtraction

therefore, first you solve the parthesis, (8-4) which equals 4, and (7-5) which equals 2, then exponents, take the value that was in the () and square it, first 2^2=4, and 4^2=16.
next is multiplication, 4*6=32 and 16*2=32

have fun!
The order of operations is PEMDAS, easily remembered by the sentence please excuse my dear Aunt Sally. The first step is the solve the equations within the parenthesis. So you have now, 6 (2)^2+2(4)^2 You then solve the exponents. So the equation now becomes, 6 (4) + 2 (16). Th enext step is to do all of hte multiplication, 24 + 32. There is no division, so you then do the addition, ending up with 56.
the order of operations states that anything in () must be done first so in this case (7-5) is 2 and (8-4) is 4, the expression becomes 6*2^2 + 2*4^2. Then the exponents are done. 2 square is 4 and 4 squared is 16. Now we have 6*4 + 2*16. Then division or multiplication is done. 6*4 is 24 and 2*16 is 32. Lastly, addition and subtraction (if any) are done. 32 + 24 is 56 which is the final answer.
remember PEMDAS

Parentheses
Exponent
Multiply
Divide
Subtract

ok so the problem is...6(7-5)2*+2(8-4)2*

so first in order from left to right do 7-5...2 ok then 8-4..4

here's what it should look like 6 2 2*+2 4 2* (*=squared)

then exponents so 2* is 4

so now it should be.6 2 4+2 4 4=

when ever a number is right next to another u multiply

so 6x2=12x4=48 then 2x4 is 8x4 is 32

then last you add 48 and 32 which wquals 80 so there u have it

NOT THAT HARD IF U GO SLOW!!
Order of Operations:
Parenthesis
Exponents
Multiply/Division from left to right
Addition/Subtraction from left to right

6(7-5)^2 + 2 (8-4)^2
First step, do what is inside the parenthesis.
So, you would solve for 7-5 and 8-4.
You should end up getting something like this:
6(2)^2 + 2 (4)^2
Next, you do the exponents, or squared.
2^2 = 2*2 = 4
4^2 = 4*4 = 16
So now, the problem would look this this:
6(4) + 2 (16)
This next part is multiplying/dividing from left to right. (This doesn't mean that you multiply first, then go back and divide. Instead, this is where if there's a division part, followed by a multiply part, then you divide, then multiply. Since this problem only has multiplying, you can ignore this part. Just saying for future reference.)
6(4) = 6*4 = 24
2(16) = 2*16 = 32
So now, your problem should look like this:
24+32
The same rule applies for addition/subtraction. (The part about you not multiplying first, and then go back and divide. Same goes for addition. You go from left to right. But you can ignore this part too.)
24+32 =56

Hope this helps!
To do this expression, you have to follow the order of operatins. This would be PEMDAS. In other words, it is parenthesis, exponents, multiplication or division, and then addition or subtraction. In this problem, you first have to do what is in the parenthesis.
6(7-5)^2+2(8-4)^2
7-5= 2
8-4=4
6(2)^2+2(4)^2
You have to rewrite the problem each time you take a step. For the answer, just explain how you got the answer. That would mean you would start of like this:
According to the order of operations, parenthesis comes first. That would mean that you do 7 minus 5, which equals 2. Next, you do 8 minus 4, which equals 4.

You would just say that, until you narrow it down to the answer.

6(7-5)^2+2(8-4)^2=
6(2)^2+2(4)^2=
6(2)4+2(4)4=
12x4+8x4=
48+32=
80

In conclusion, 80 is my answer.

Trust me on this. I'm an expert on the order of operations.
